Nel 2006 Bernard Arnault incarica Frank Gehry di costruire la Fondazione Louis Vuitton, un centro dedicato all'arte moderna e contemporanea che rifletta la politica artistica e filantropica della Fondazione. A Parigi, ai margini del Bois de Boulogne, un enorme vascello con dodici vele di vetro gonfiate da un vento immaginario emerge sopra le cime degli alberi. Il nuovo museo, inaugurato nel 2014, è anche una passeggiata architettonica.

In 2006, Bernard Arnault commissioned Frank Gehry to build the Louis Vuitton Foundation, a centre dedicated to modern and contemporary art epitomizing the Foundation's policy of artistic philanthropy. On the edge of the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, a huge vessel emerges from the treetops, its twelve glass sails billowing in an imaginary wind. The new museum of contemporary art, inaugurated in 2014, is also an architectural promenade.
